Shutdown of the GWW service

We regret to inform you that Global Water Watch (GWW) will be unavailable as we work towards establishing a sustainable framework for its continued development and maintenance.

GWW has played an important role in demonstrating how satellite data of surface water can be made available to a large group of people. However, due to current limitations in team stability and funding, the platform has become outdated.

The archive of surface area of all reservoirs will be made available at https://github.com/jaapschellekens/GWW_archive and also stored on zenodo. The code of GWW is also freely available.
